We pride on being the first origin country to come up with the idea of profiling coffee regions, showing to consumers that varietals, microclimates, and growing conditions have a huge impact on coffee taste.
We know that this concept is widely spread nowadays and that cup profiling has been improved with the application of science to producing, processing, and brewing techniques. Nevertheless, getting to know the basics of our regions is still key to understanding the diversity of our coffees.
These profiles describe the most relevant characteristics of the coffees produced within a region; however, when analyzing a coffee individually you will be surprised with its complexity.
